Remote Learning Program FAQs



What is the Remote Learning Program (RLP)?

The RLP is the option for students who have chosen to learn remotely during the 2021-2022 academic year. The program was formerly called “eLearning.” The information on this page is specific to the Remote Learning Program.



What are the RLP schedules?

Does the RLP observe the same district breaks and important dates?

Yes, the RLP observes the same schedule as the district and follows the same start dates, breaks, and staff development days.



When will students know who their teachers are? 

Teachers will be listed in Infinite Campus by the week of August 2nd.  Elementary teachers will send out welcome information the week of August 2nd. Middle and High School teachers may also send out a welcome. 



What learning management system (LMS) does the Remote Learning Program use?

The RLP utilizes the Canvas LMS. Canvas is a proven platform that is used at all levels of blended and online learning.



What curriculum does the Remote Learning Program use? 

We use a variety of different curriculums to meet our students' needs. Some of the companies we utilize are Florida Virtual, eDynamic, Vista Higher Learning, and Carone Learning. We use Canvas as our Learning Management System and all work will be completed there. The curriculum we use is simply like a text book for each teacher. Some will use the provided curriculum more while others may use it less. All the while, teachers will make sure students are meeting the Colorado Academic Standards.



When will my student hear from our counselors regarding course requests? 

Counselors will be reaching out by the week of August 2nd or sooner to complete student schedules.



When will special service providers, if applicable, reach out to guardians regarding pertinent learning plans and support? 

Support Staff will reach out during the week of July 26th, if not sooner.  



What will the first days of the school year look like?

On the first day of classes students will login to meet their teacher(s) and participate in an orientation process that will introduce them to their teachers and peers and aspects of the learning environment and technologies. More specific information will be communicated as the beginning of the school year approaches.
