Community Service



All students are required to complete community service upon graduation.  We provided many opportunities at Blended and through school activities to help students complete those hours.  Contact Janda Bliek for more information.

Director Derek Chaney is collaborating with Marsha Alston with the Douglas County Youth Initiative and myself to provide 2 hours of community service for high school students who attend Dr. Poland's Community talk on Wednesday, September 19th. See flyer for more info.

Kids’ Fall Break Book Exchange

Parker Library 9AM-2PM

Kids can trade their gently used books for brand new or new-to-you books. There will also be pizza and entertainment. Volunteers needed to sort books, stock tables, help kids select books, and serve refreshments.

Perceptual Carnival

Fall Break Activity Clowns, Prizes, Food, Games! It’s All Free! Plus…The eye is the window to the soul. It is also the road to academic success for kids. Add ears, fingers, and lips to that equation and you have a Fall Break event! While kids are playing games, eating carnival food, winning prizes, and having fun, grownups will be checking out vision and hearing acuity as well motor, speech, and developmental skills. Volunteers needed to help with decorations, games, refreshments, and prizes.
